It is one of the historic climbs on Lake Maggiore, often the scene of exciting stages of the Giro D’Italia. Starting from Ranco, you skirt the Lake for 25 km reaching Laveno. Turning right towards Cittiglio, the road begins to climb but very gently and gradually. When you reach Cittiglio you turn left and from there for 10 km the road climbs to the summit of Cuvignone, maintaining gradients varying between 10 and 14 %. It is a real Mortirolo that overlooks the waters of Lake Maggiore, providing striking and exciting views.
